Anxiety, sexual dysfunction, schizophrenia: this program covers mental health disorders in the broadest sense. To effectively diagnose and manage such disorders, you need extensive knowledge of their signs and symptoms, natural courses and etiology. This program is designed to give you precisely that. It is also highly practice-oriented, with skills training held parallel to each theoretical course, and the opportunity to follow a clinical internship with a mental healthcare institution. Right from the outset you can choose one of two specializations:
1. Adult Psychopathology, which covers neuropsychological, psychotic and personality disorders in adults
2. Child and Adolescent Psychopathology, in which you examine internalizing, externalizing and developmental disorders in children and adolescents.
Although in principle all study material is in English, the Dutch language is the standard for the master's program in Mental Health. This is a one-year full-time or two-year part-time program taught in Dutch.
