The master of Museology consists of 5 key modules and is supplemented by an introduction week and a winter school. Drama of Decision Making in the Heritage Field focuses on the ethical and strategic aspects of museum and heritage work which underpin the often difficult decisions professionals need to make. Audiences, Expectations & Experiences addresses storytelling and exhibition design. Concepts are discussed and techniques of creative problem solving are actively applied during excursions. Collection Dynamics reflects on 2 important trends in collection development: the concept of dynamic collections and that of participatory strategies in museums. People, Places & Heritage Production explores the local production of heritage within its international framework in the face of global socio-political and environmental developments. Research & Professional Skills will benefit students in their future career. Topics include project management, various research methods, project funding and writing skills among others. In the research internship students will conduct the research needed for a final product whilst operating as a professional in the internship providing organization.
