Als imaging engineer revolutioneer je onze kijk op het allerkleinste. Je rekt het gebruik van technieken op zodat deze meer kunnen dan hun gebruikelijke toepassingen. Een MRI-scanner, bijvoorbeeld maakt foto’s van een tumor. Een imaging engineer kan met dezelfde techniek ook de chemische samenstelling van structuren in de tumor achterhalen. Nog een voorbeeld, scheikundigen gebruiken massaspectrometers voor chemische analyses, imaging engineers gebruiken de techniek voor in beeld brengen van weefsels en tegelijkertijd de biochemische processen daarin.
Onze opleiding is er speciaal voor jou als bachelor in wetenschap en techniek die experts wil worden in dit dynamische vakgebied. Je leert hoe je met ultramoderne apparatuur geavanceerde imagingtechnieken en experimenten ontwikkelt en verfijnt.
Met je masterdiploma op zak ben je voorbereid op carrières in gebieden als medische diagnostiek, forensische imaging, materiaalontwikkeling en duurzame voedselproductie.
