The Master’s programme Comparative Cultural Analysis is dedicated to exploring a wide variety of cultural phenomena from a theoretical, interdisciplinary and intercultural perspective. Works of art and literature, cinema and new media, as well as academic and popular culture are examined in relation to contemporary issues such as globalization, mobility, gender identities, and social and cultural conflicts. What a culture identifies as a dialogue with another culture is a sometimes fruitful and sometimes conflictual but always productive moment that reveals that no “culture” is a self-contained historical or geographical entity. The program proposes to explore the dialogues between cultural phenomena, with a special emphasis on issues of mobility and identity construction.
